Terms of use

Effective from 2 November 2026. Previous versions: 27 October 2026, 12 October 2026, 24, 23 and 21 September 2026, then 7 August 2026. The version accepted at registration is recorded with the date of your agreement; past acceptances are not rewritten.

These terms explain what you can expect from Paddoco, and what Paddoco expects from you. They are deliberately brief.

1. What Paddoco is

An app for riders, yards and professionals: horse records, planning, exercises, hacks and routes, competitions, clinics, livery, listings, creator spaces, conversations, clients and intervention reports. Available features depend on your permissions, context and, for some pilots, your account and device.

The publisher is Clément Faure, a non-professional publisher (see the legal notice).

2. The service is free today

Paddoco is free and has no advertising. If this changes, you will be informed in advance through the app, and no feature you already use will become paid without giving you the choice to decline.

3. Your account

In My account > What I am told about > Email notifications, disable or re-enable notification emails. Re-enabling preserves your choices by category. The link at the bottom of new emails opens a page without signing in: confirm to stop delivery. If the link is blocked, copy the displayed address or return to your account. In-app notifications, authentication and expressly requested reports remain separate.

• You need a valid email address and a password.
• An account is personal. Do not share it: actions taken through your account are considered to have been taken by you.
• The information you provide must be accurate, particularly your date of birth, which determines guardianship arrangements and some prices.
• You accept these terms by ticking the box provided when you sign up. We keep the date of that acceptance and the version of the terms you accepted; you will find it in your data export. The privacy policy is not something you tick: it informs you of what happens to your data.
• You can pause your account, export your data or delete it yourself at any time, from My account then the Leavetab. Deletion is immediate and permanent: see Delete my account.

4. Minors

A minor can have an account. One or more guardians can be linked to it and act on their behalf: manage their profile, view and pay their charges, give consent on their behalf, see their notifications and enter them in a riding clinic or competition. This does not include their private messages : nobody reads them, whether a guardian or an administrator.

The minimum age is 13, and registration checks this: no account is created below that age. Younger children can ride at a yard without an account, as they did before the app existed.

Between 13 and 15, signing up asks you to declare that a parent or legal guardian agrees, and we keep the date of that declaration. It is a declaration, not a check: it does not replace linking a guardian as described below.

A guardian link is validated by an administrator of a yard the child belongs to, who checks parental authority. A parent can submit a request from their account when the journey’s conditions are met; that request grants no access before the yard’s decision. Direct linking by the administrator remains possible. A child without a yard does not have access to this guardianship journey. Guardianship opens the profile, payments and notifications, but not private messages.

Under French law, a minor can consent independently to the processing of their data from the age of 15. Below that age, consent must be given jointly with the person holding parental authority, and the guardianship link records this arrangement. However, we do not block a minor's account while no guardian is linked, and we prefer to make this clear rather than imply that the app has a restriction it does not enforce: a minor who belongs to no yard has nobody to perform this check, and their account works. All the following restrictions still apply.

Restrictions for minors, with or without a linked guardian. These are not settings, and ticking a box cannot remove them:

• a minor never appears in the public rider directoryor friend suggestions, regardless of their settings;
• they cannot post on the platform marketplace or among livery offers open to the whole platform;
• posting a listing or offer does not give permission to message them : you can only start a conversation with a minor if they are already your friend or belong to your yard.

Guardianship ends automatically when the person reaches adulthood.

5. What you publish

You retain ownership of what you publish. Publishing only authorises us to display it to your intended audience and keep it for as long as you leave it online.

You are responsible for what you publish. In practice, this means:

• do not publish a photo of someone who does not want you to. The app includes an image consent setting; respect it;
• do not publish unlawful, hateful or violent content, or content that harms someone;
• do not publish material that does not belong to you;
• a listing or livery offer must honestly describe what it offers;
• a ride made public is public in full, including its start and finish points. The app tells you this when you publish. Do not publish a route that reveals an address you want to keep private, whether yours or someone else's;
• the person running a creator space is responsible for it: content reserved for their community remains subject to all the rules above, and anything they advertise must exist.

A journey edition published in Tourism is visible on the Internet without an account, unlike the public La Place circle. Choose the elements to show, review the preview and check locations, text and photos before agreeing. The private record and published edition are separate. Withdrawing publication does not retrieve copies reused or files already downloaded by other people.

6. What we may do if you do not follow these rules

Reported content may be hidden while it is reviewed. Unlawful content is removed. An account that repeatedly breaks the rules may be suspended and then closed.

We will notify you and explain why, unless the law prevents us from doing so.

7. Yards

• Setting up a yard makes you its administrator and responsible for what happens there.
• An administrator’s permissions serve to manage their yard and do not transfer to another. Specific audiences, professional consent and presence protections still apply. They cannot access private conversations they do not belong to, individual secret ballots, your blocked accounts, favourites or personal course progress.
• Joining a yard requires its approval, unless it has chosen to allow open entry.
• You can leave at any time, keeping your account, horses and friends.

8. Payment tracking

Paddoco does not collect payments or issue invoices. It only lets a rider report a payment and their yard confirm it. An entry in the app is not a receipt. Any dispute over an amount must be settled between the rider and their yard.

8 bis. Fara assistant

Fara is an optional assistant available through her avatar to signed-in accounts. Free includes an allowance of USD 0.50 per person per month for the Economy model. Personal, Pro and Yard Premium trials are granted by the platform, with their own limits and an expiry date; the available allowance is shown in the app. Each person can find their conversations across their yards; personal, professional and administrative permissions are checked separately for every record and action. Premium coverage grants no additional operational permissions. Other Paddoco features remain available without Fara.

Before your first request, Fara asks for your consent to send your requests to OpenAI, which provides its answers. Nothing is sent until you accept. You can withdraw this consent at any time in “About the assistant”, and the privacy policy sets out what is sent and how long it is kept.

Responses, transcriptions and documents may contain errors. Check names, dates, durations, amounts and recipients. An AI-generated document remains a draft; it is not an invoice, prescription or legal approval. Personal, Pro or Yard Premium access and authorised trials allow several photos, documents or short videos to be analysed in one request, within the displayed limits. Personal Free does not include this feature. Video is examined as spaced still images, without sound or continuous movement analysis. Observations of health, feet or movement help prepare a discussion with a vet or farrier; they are not a diagnosis or a prescription for treatment or trimming. If your horse is in pain or there is an emergency, contact your vet. File analysis does not modify your records. When needed, Fara can select files from previous care entries you may read, then analyse them in a separate step charged to your AI budget. On request, it can save a labelled AI observation to the horse journal and attach supplied files still available on your device, subject to the usual confirmation and media quotas. Existing files are referenced without duplication. An interrupted upload may leave a saved report with pending attachments; this status is shown and uploads can be retried.

By default, a business action waits for your approval after its details are displayed. You may enable automatic actions after receiving clear information and explicitly agreeing in the interface: newly requested actions are then applied directly, including cancellations and messages to registered participants. A misunderstanding can have a real effect. This choice follows your account across your conversations; you can change it at any time, and it does not apply to older proposals. Permissions, data and plan validity are still checked when actions are executed. A prepared proposal is not proof of execution: check its result. If a combined action is refused, the operations within that proposal remain unchanged. The usual correction rules still apply after execution.

The pilot does not create a paid subscription or trigger any charge. A future premium offer will require a separate offer and terms of sale stating prices, taxes, features, limits, duration, renewal, cancellation and applicable rights before you agree. A technical premium entitlement is not a purchase. OpenAI processing and dictation are described in the privacy policy.

The pilot is free for its users within their allocated limits; the developer covers its cost. Your feedback on its usefulness helps improve the service. Economy currently uses GPT-6 Luna; Powerful uses GPT-6 Sol with light reasoning and consumes more. The displayed budget is an estimated Paddoco allowance, not the OpenAI account balance: text, files, dictation and web research are counted according to their processing. A request draws on only one allowance; a reservation during processing is not a fixed price per message. Exporting prepared Word or PDF documents and Fara’s animations do not use AI.

8c. Professionals and reports

A professional is responsible for the accuracy of their profile, declared qualifications and information recorded for clients. An application draft does not publish their profile. The public location can be limited to a town or village and postcode; the private administrative address remains separate. Authorised people can edit an already published profile without opening access to other accounts.

The external-client book is private to the business. Inform your clients, check contact details and recipients, and record only what is necessary for your service. A finalised report, its correction and export retain their origin; they are not medical or legal validation by Paddoco. Observations from one profession or equipment configuration do not replace those of another examination. The 2D or 3D anatomy is a reading aid, not a real measurement of the horse.

Exporting or emailing a report is a transmission you choose. Check its contents before delivery; a copy already received cannot be recalled by changing permissions in the app. If a client opens an account, linking their archives requires their decision and selection of sources; linking them to a horse requires current ownership permissions. Accounts or permissions are not merged automatically.

8d. Memories and private live streaming

A shared MP4 film, image or document may reveal locations, people and private information. Respect usage and image permissions, especially for minors. A 3D camera orbit illustrates a recorded plan; it does not prove an exercise was performed. Preparing a file does not publish it: then choose La Place, download or a recipient through the share sheet.

Private live streaming is a pilot restricted to authorised accounts and devices, with invitations and controlled access. Choose the camera, audio and any local replay separately. Inform people being filmed. A viewer may retain what they receive on their device; withdrawing their invitation does not retrieve that copy. Replay and chat have separate retention rules described in the privacy policy. This pilot guarantees neither continuous streaming nor general access for all accounts.

8e. Learning records

From the educational autonomy threshold, currently fifteen years of age, learners accept their own invitation and use their learning record without prior parental confirmation. Below this threshold, confirmation by the legal guardian is still required. A parent can be linked later through verified guardianship; this grants no yard role or access to a horse.

A Training Centre space, a teacher or workplace mentor assignment, and pedagogical sharing are separate authorisations. They create neither automatic yard membership, nor horse permissions, nor access to a learner’s whole private life. Choose activities and files to share and check recipients and expiry. The personal Training library stays separate. A displayed qualification is not validation of your professional permissions by Paddoco.

8 sexies. Open Gallop game

In Open Gallop, horseshoes are virtual currency earned by playing and used to unlock appearances. They cannot be bought with real money, converted into money or cashed out. Appearances do not give a scoring advantage.

Results are verified on our servers using the run’s commands. Your progress is linked to your account; resuming a current run requires its local log on the device used. Leaderboards follow the games visibility setting: private, friends and current yard, or public for adults. Open Gallop keeps scores private if you have not previously made an explicit choice for games. The privacy policy explains the data used and the protections for minors.

9. What Paddoco is not

In My account > My record or the ride settings, open Contacts to notify. Choose one or more accepted friends and save. Even without a yard, they can receive your new probable fall alerts and the event location. This choice shares neither live tracking nor earlier alerts. Remove a contact to close their access. No automatic SMS or call to the emergency services.

• It is not veterinary advice. Feed calculations, care reminders and workload guidelines are decision aids based on public sources. Your vet and equine nutritionist remain your advisers, as the app makes clear wherever it performs calculations.
• This is not an emergency service. Optional safety during a hack or ridden session may notify authorised recipients of a possible fall or request for help, then of a reassurance response. The network, permissions and device may prevent detection or delivery. No public emergency service is called automatically; a saved contact is not dialled automatically. In an emergency, call the appropriate emergency service yourself.
• It is not an official register. The French SIRE identification number you enter is not checked with the IFCE.

10. Availability

We do our best to keep the service running, without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability. It may be taken offline for maintenance and may experience outages. Keep vital information elsewhere too , such as paper care records and your vet's contact details.

Content updates may be prepared automatically while the app is visible and online, then applied when entering an idle Home screen. The check and apply buttons remain available. Editing, a dialogue, an activity or a live stream may defer restarting; a fully closed app may wait until it is next opened. A content update grants no new business permissions.

11. Changes to these terms

We will inform you through the app. Continuing to use Paddoco after a change means accepting it. If you disagree, you can delete your account.

12. Governing law

French law applies. If you have a difficulty, first write to us at [email protected] : most issues can be resolved this way.
